The Strange Library (test: Act One)
You have arrived at your new school but there's been a problem with some of your paperwork and you've been directed to the library to complete your registration.
Led to a special room in the bowels of the library you find yourself imprisoned with a strange assortment of characters for company.
How will you escape?
This is a work-in-progress as part of a week-long British Library workshop: Fiction as Dialogue: Interactive Fiction Summer School, led by Dr Florencia Minuzzi.
The story is inspired by Haruki Murakami's 'The Strange Library', with a few nods to Michael Faber's 'Under the Skin'. Acknowledgments also go to Destina Connor (on structure) and Corey Brotherson (on plot and character).
Please note: This is a work of fiction. Names, characters and incidents either are products of the author’s imagination or are used fictitiously. Any resemblance to actual events or persons, living or dead, is entirely coincidental.
